Here are some of the pics that I took at Ring Brothers (www.ringbrothers.com) on Saturday. Mike gave me the green light to go ahead and post them up.

The car is stunning. There's NO way I can capture how amazing this car is. I love the design and everything about it.

The orange in the hockey stripe fades vertically. The rear deck lid and hood are carbon fiber. The wheel openings are stretched. The rear spoiler is intergrated but doesn't go to the edge of the quarter. The body lines are made sharper and carry along the body further. The quarter panel has been sectioned and a carbon fiber piece has been molded into then where the gills use to be and that's also where the gas tank vents. The front fascia and ground effects are killer. There are a TON of details, but I'll just post the pics and let everyone see that for themselves.

These are in no particular order....

Outstanding! That's definitely one of the most beautiful first-gen's I've ever seen! Did the Ring Bros. do all of the design work as well or did they use someone else? My hat's off to the minds that thought this one up!

Can't wait to see the finished product,

WOW,Great looking car! Very cool, untraditional color selection with just enough punch. Warmer silvers, champagnes and pewters are going to be one of the next hot colors I'm noticing.
It's awesome to see a fresh look on a 69 Camaro that still retains it's identity. It has that signature Ring Bros knife edge, "weapon" look with slick details and nice finishes. I like the satin finish CF vents a lot. The integrated rear wing is a great look and this version is one of my favorites. The rear bumper and taillight wraparound is EXACTLY what needed to be done. I've tried to push a few clients to do that as well....now I have proof that it looks killer!

Great decisions, innovative design and extremely well executed. Not surprised.

Absolutely awesome! One of the things that I like that these guys do is they have a style that continues from car to car that sets them apart from everybody. You know it when you're looking at a Ring Bros. car. You guys have definately raised your own bar. The engine blows me away more than anything, I could stare at it for days. I like the detailing of the rear bumper and rear tail of the car, the color combination and stripe are especially beautiful. The stance is killer. I'll wait to see the front end in person, maybe a little over the top for me but it's very aggressive and follows the rest of the cars theme - outrageous. Nice stuff, can't wait to see it in person. I'm sure like all your other builds it will take me atleast 2 days to find all the details!
Thanks for sharing.

I really like this car very well done.
The only 2 things i don't like is the side skirts they put them on everything they do. The other thing I'm not crazy about is the holes in the inner fender.
If they have an inner cover to cover those holes then its okay.
I just can't image that the car would get driven with holes in the top surface of the inner fender the engine compartment would never stay clean.

They have a lot of custom machined parts that have yet to go into the car. What you see under the hood isn't the finished product.

Yes, this year's SMOTY contenders will have to driven and flogged as a part of the event... and from what Mike told me, the owner is anxious to do just that.

The only thing im not crazy about is the valve covers.
Gives me an original valvecover (crate) look (well they are just that, but painted). I think it would have looked alot cooler with some smooth valvecovers painted like the car with the "Razor" logo painted on by Mr Thrash

But dont get me wrong, that is just a personal opinion on one detail, still love the car :hail:

I've seen most of their builds in person, and I'll be the first to admit I've been critical of their taste in styling. Taste is subjective, so it's all a matter of opinion and doesn't really matter to anyone but the builder and the buyer.

With that being said, I think this car is their best one yet. The styling changes didn't go overboard, and it seems they respected the original design cues more than they have in the past. There are a few things I wouldn't have done, and some other things that seem overdone, but overall this car has a better blend of form and line than their past efforts.

If it backs all this up with performance, all the better. Congrats to them for a fine job, and congrats to Lat-G for the scoop!

What Ring Brothers car do is make you think and talk about them. Like it or not, your still talking about it and that is what makes their cars so unique. Few will like everything they see on a car, but that is what pushing the edge is about.

Well, these guys are at the top of their game right now in a elite group us mere mortals can look up to. A couple of really nice guys that have done a great job of designing cars, finding the funding, and implementing the final package. Those 3 things are not easy to pull off. And 2 out of 3 just won't due.

Weather you like the style or not, I really like 99% of it, you cannot dispute their quality. Their finishes are some of the best period, best paint contender under the lights of SEMA year after year, killer fab and machine work. I am impressed.

Good looking car, but it's almost to wild, the rocker ext can go, not real crazy about the rear spoiler, not crazy about all the front end stuff. I agree with Travis don't go bling crazy. That car is about to cross the line to a glamour rod.

I'm curious anyone know the colors they used on it? are those real carbon fiber parts or metal parts wrapped in a carbon fiber wrap.

Here are some of the design sketches that are for the Ring Brothers and Earve wollers camaro the Razor. So far the car has been a blast to work on and we plan to have a lot of fun with it this show season. I am reading a lot of the feedback and it seems like the car strikes quite an impression..which I think is good..I thank all of you guys for your comments (good and bad). I think if we had a car that struck nothing but postive comments than that means we did not do a car that would shake things up in the industry and try different things. Its been really great working with Mike,Jim and Tod over the past 4 years on there projects. They have a very talented crew which without them the sketch could not be pulled off. I have worked with a lot of fabricators and modelers in the automotive industry but I dont think any hold as much passion and talent than the Ring brothers and there crew. I can also note that even though I am the designer and somewhat consultant for there cars that at the end of the day the main design imput comes from Mike , Jim and what the owner intially wanted as a car. The body mods and over all exterior and interior were sketched by myself..while Bob thrash designed the whole paint scheme, logos and filled in the blanks and added his design imput as well. It was a honor to work with thrash as I have looked up to his work since I was 15. His touch added a great look to the car...Its important to note that we as a team strive to design a car with our own style. We are inspired by German sports cars, machine idustrial componets and an overall hard core look. We are always trying to do something that is different and at the same time keeping with our design language. We are not trying to hide or shave or smooth out the car rather we want to add to the cars original lines and adding functional and cool looking details. Thanks again for all the feed back
See you in Columbus

I fall a little bit into the camp of don't get too busy with details on the car. For example I agree with others that Reactor had a bit too much machined bling on it - I thought it would have been just that much nicer with a bit more smoothness, and as others have posted this car might be on the edge of that as well. I also think both reactor and razor need to be about an inch lower over the wheels.

But two things - its obvious the quality and execution is as good as it gets.

And the main thing I really appreciate about the Ring stuff is the color selections and coordination- the brushed nickel plating on Reactor was awesome, and the mix of textures and colors is definitely their design strong point. THey've continued that strength on Razor. Just keep reigning in the desire to add too much doo-dads.

The thing that makes them really cool is the use of the carbon fiber around them. That to me is what sets them off.

Thank you Sean for you personal input. I think you and Ring bros really nailed the "industrial" style wich is all over the high end super car styling nowdays. I fits on these cars superd!!!!

I would repeat the sentiments about the styling and beauty of this car, because I agree that this could easily be the most subtly aggressive and beautiful '69 I have ever seen, but I think what really needs to be pointed out is that while some people may not like 100% of the styling and design (I do though), it still catches your eye and you are attracted like a moth to a flame while you search out every single little detail of this amazing modernistic recreation of classic American muscle! Fantastic Job! :hail:

OK now let's make some of these parts for the rest of us!

Car looks killer. I knew you guys would do an awesome job on a Camaro, even if it isn't a Ford. You have done a great job of establishing a style and just like some others have said on here, everyone will be able to tell that the Ring Bros built it. Great job and keep up the good work.

Good Lord. Chip Foose eat your heart out. That thing puts the '69 he did with Unique to shame.

Absolutely phenomenal work. If the interior ends up on par with the exterior, you can go ahead and start engraving the SMOTY award.

Absolutely. Why not? A few years ago there was a '65 Chevy II that made it to the Great 8 that was built in the spirit of the Ring Bros. '69. But I think their car is even better than that car was.

That was 66 nova built by Roy Pigford. There is a ton more prep and detail work that goes into a riddler car than your average bad ass pro built car. Dont get me wrong this ring car is very nice, very detailed, very well built, but I think even they would agree its not a riddler car nor did they intend it to be. Did you not see the last car that won the riddler?

ok , i will start with " i dont dis-like the car or ring 's "
i understand what you are saying , realllllll nice built car . BUT you have been to cobo . the nova that pigford built was a different type car . mirror car ,mildy driven car , should have won the riddler that year . i am sure that rings camaro is nice , real nice , real real nice , BUT i will bet you if you ask jim or mike in person they will tell you its not a riddler car . dont be sorry....its all good conversation. But the level of a riddler car is unbelieveable. I spoke with tracy weaver this mornin about this very subject. So im at the shop on weds check out the nova. I walk over to first love and take a peak inside and out. Really get a good look at it b/c every time im there its on a lift and now its sitting on the ground next to "vision" It is incredible how different these two cars are. Adam was telling me some little details about the car as well. Things along the lines of counting stitches in the seats and whats been done here and there. I cannot begin to understand how nerve racking it must be to transport those cars. What I want to see is first love on the dyno!! I bet that thing hauls a$$. ....Back to the thread.

[QUOTE=XcYZ]Here are some of the pics that I took at Ring Brothers (www.ringbrothers.com) on Saturday.

Nice!:hail:

Why did they run a 15" brake in the rear and 14" front brakes?

Most likely to fill the rim opening.

Similar to what Rad Rides & Alloway have been doing for years.

The interior design IMO is the BEST Ive ever seen in a muscle car. Id put this up against any european styling I have ever seen.

Extremely impressive works, this proves that Pro Touring is the modern Hot Rodding style.

One question though, wouldn't those rivets in the seat hurt you after a few hours in the sun?

Looks like they did.

They are one-offs that Budnik did for the car. the spokes have the same Sharp lines that the body has that fade out.

I like some of the mods, but there are a few items that bug me. The gas pedal not matching the clutch/brake is kinda weird looking.
I would also NEVER remove a set of HRE wheels for anything but another set. The Budniks look like an after thought.

They look like Coddington Smoothies.
I think the Boze were more fitting... but what do I know? (dont answer that)

RB's attention to detail is second to none... nice job as always guys !

I also had the pleasure of seeing this car in Rochester. WOW!! Did I like everything on the car, no. But that didn't keep me from standing there drooling over it for a long time:drool: There are a ton of mods to this car that
you would have to study for some time to catch them all. Congrats on a truly awesome project:bow:

My bad. Looking at IForged's website it appears they were heavily influenced by HRE's style right down to the shape of the crest in the center cap.

The car is on the next level for sure! but wow imo the wheel change hurt the cars sex appeal! And i love Allans wheels but sorry missed the mark on these wheels they really dont look comfortable on this car ecs. as nice as the car is. well one out of two in the most important things to nail isnt bad Paint and WHEELS.

I love the car.

I do have to agree that the original wheels looked allot more sinister on the car the the new billet wheels.

The car has a euro look to it and the new wheels are more street rodie to me.

But, again, I think the Mike and Jim have out done them self again and manage to raise the bar to the level of concept cars.

Has it been mentioned here or anywhere that Rad Rides and Ring Brothers seem to have similar taste in the exterior colors they choose?

Ours is gray because my dads original car he had back in the 70s was that color!

Right, I remember you posting that.

Actually, it was the Ring Brother's Camaro that reminded of Rad Rides recent color choices.

It seems a lot of the pro's are going with earth tones and subdued schemes the last few years. 4 of the 5 finalists for SMOY had dark, earth tone colors.
