That stang sure is straight. It looks like it's bagged, too.

Yup. It's bagged and it shoulda won SMOTY in my opinion. I guess it wasn't street roddish enough. See my other thread regarding SMOTY.

Sorry, I do't have pix. It was built by these guys. Airbags or not, it was a beautiful, creative, well executed car.

I remember their red and black Mustang. It had a big spread in Super Rod. The Mustang looks downright bad ass. Since they're only a few hours from me, I hope they make it to the Car Craft Summer Nats. :)

The Mustangs are cool. The Camaro they did on their site is hideus.

I didn't know they built this car also. I met Jim Ring in Pleasanton when they had the Camaro, very nice guy.

They put out very exceptional cars. Seems like they have turned out a new car about every 12-18 mos. They were runner last year at Columbus also. Hopefully one of these times they'll hit it big. I wouldn't of wanted to vote on which car should have won.

I agree. If you see the stang, you would not believe that it was built by the same guys that did that gaudy Camaro. The Mustang R is very tasteful with many one-off billet/anodized styling parts. Functional grilles located behind the rear doors house oil/trans coolers. The rear roll pan alone was worthy of SMOTY. You get the sense that these guys would kill to win SMOTY. They keep honing their cars, coming back--and getting sent home as bridesmaids. Bummer.

Word is they "only" charged the customer that they built the car for $150K and are trying to buy it back so they can seel it for more.

Yeah, that seems cheap for that kind of car.

Still wanting more pics of that beast! :)

I saw the car on Friday morning in the Goodyear both, did any else notice how strong the car smelled of paint? I think that thing was F-R-E-S-H! It was indeed a 1 bad mofo...

That mustang is Awesome, been talked about on all the forums last few days...but I cant believe its the same guys that built the other cars. I am not a fan of their other cars...just something about them.

But that one is right on!

I just saw this car at the Springfield, IL "RT66 Cruise-In". OMG that car is gorgeous, wonderful workmanship everywhere you look on the car. Just a few pics that I have had the chance to pull off my camera below (large - haven't had a chance to adjust the size).

That is just a great car. The rivets, the use of charcoal against black, the billet trim parts. HOT!! And the pix don't do it justice.

Work of art? = Yes
Driver? = Nope
Better than sex? = Depends who you are, but probably a lot of Yes's :)

Well, apparently it's better than sex in at least two minds. Word at Goodguys Columbus was that the Ring Brothers tried to buy it back from it's new owner when it took a pro's pick. I'm not much for gossip, but that's a juicy little unsubstantiated tidbit.

I know both of the brothers personally, and have talents they haven't even tapped into yet. They just finished another black beauty, and are in progress on building the next one. They jsut put up a new state of the art shop just to work on their build cars. It is nice to see everyone giving them such great recognition, they deserve it.

Can do, I will try to get some pics from the cars they have now. I hope they have an entry in our homecoming parade tomorrow. I don't have a digital camera, but maybe I can get someone to snap some for me. Nice site you have here I plan to visit often.

And I'm glad you like it here.
