Vinnys car is getting more work. It should almost feel like a new car this coming season. with a dom cage, mini tubs, mid mount fuel cell, nitrous express, vintage air, it will be even more comfortable to drive. heres a few starting pics. Will have pics of newly widened forgelines soon, 18x12 in the back, with 335 toyo r888, and 255 r888 in front.

With nitrous and bigger shoes Vinny's gonna have a big ole grin from ear to ear on his face. Can't wait to see it finished. Jake, how much of the Air Ride rear suspesion needs to be modified or moved for the mini-tub?

Hopefully the car should stick a little better with the mini tub and R888's. I still want slicks and skinnies so I hook at the drag strip. :D

lol, some of it is airride which is being cleaned up now, the bulk of it is a previous owner radio install which vinny is getting a full custom interior/radio install later this year to clean everything up.

another update we are on the home stretch, got the nitrous from NX, and it is awesome stuff, will provide detail pics later but brian havins there really set us up with the right stuff the first time.Got the rear passenger floor pans raised and new panels made, got rear firewall sealed and coated, and interior is all in and doing final nitrous install, vinny will be drag racing next monday, he also got slicks and skinnys for it, should run a very low 10 on a 100 shot.
it ran a 7.63 100 8th with 265 18 inch rear tires peddling it the whole way. should be good for high 10;s on motor.

got car done and to vinny, he wen drag racing today, and had a blast, got his drag package wheels from ccw, which are killer wheels, he is running a 26x12 m/h slick in the rear on a 16x11 and a 17x4.5 on the front with a 26x4 radial skinny
he ran 11.05, 10.84 then 5 straight 10.60's with a 10.60 flat at 130mph with a 1.60 short, the 1-2 shift was hitting rev limiter all day, the 2-3,shift was perfect, he is shifting at 6200 motor rev limit is 6800, hes got 1-2 tenths left on motor once dialed in, plus he didn't turn on the happy gas today, we will see what 150 and 200 shot do for it, this is all on air ride air bar, rear susp. will have pics at the track later.

Any pics with the drag tires/wheels on it?
How do you guys like the Muscle drive converter?? How much does it footbrake?? Flashstall?? If its real tight and still works with that bigboy cam thats sweet!
68protouring454
04-15-2008, 09:19 AM
3000 stall, if he doesn't footbrake it hits the tires real hard, the whole drivetrain for that matter, so he footbraked it
converter is killer, just enough stall but not irritating at all
Sweet thanks for the info...I hope my new Continental "tight 10" feels the same way. Supposed to be very tight around town and average throttle but flashes 3000-3200. We will see...

Awesome! That's a great multi-purpose car! I don't care who you are...that's cool right there!!
What suspension changes did you do for the track? No front sway bar, taller ride height, ect?
I love those wheels, and for the price and service I can't believe more guys around here don't use them.
Just flat out awesome Vin and Jake! The best part is that it's never down for too long during the mods!! Drive the hell out of it Vin...that's what you built it for!!
