I will third that..

I've used John for three projects now and the products/service are second to none.

And you will find this to be a common opinion of Speartech.

I "fourth" to that ;) I have had two of Johns harneses and just looked at the pictures of new gm "hot rod" harness and it looked more complex to me compared speartechs.

I plan dealing with John at future too

I also have used Speartech with great results on factory stuff. For full aftermarket I use the MEFI 4 and soon to be MEFI 5 from MSD. Great systems, come with the wiring harness, computer, and tuning software for about $1850.00. Will run LS1/LS2/LS6 and LS7 engines as well as RamJet crate engines.

#6 HERE

I was very worried about wiring, but his harness made it very easy and thanks to the length of the wire my PCM is hidden inside the car keeping the engine bay nice and clean :)

I did my own harness. Its pretty easy surprisingly enough. THe conversion/hybrids swap sticky over at LS1tech has lots of good info on it.

If your not into doing it yourself then I too vote for plug and play ease Speartech is the way to go.
