Bought a full set of gauges a couple years ago from Equus and have since put in a 6spd, so the mech speedo doesn't work and they do not offer an electronic version and don't plan to either apparently.

I have found "Cable X" for about $300 and a new 6spd tail housing for about $500 that would solve the problem, but they both seem complicated considering the simplicity of the problem.

I could just buy an Autometer, but that wouldn't match all the rest.

Does anyone know of a place who could swap electronic guts into my mechanical speedo? I have heard of tach modification places, but not for a speedometer.

Here's an old pic with all the gauges in.

I must say that I'm not terribly familiar with Equus' product and what the requirements for hookup are, however, I would suggest contacting Speed-O-Meter Service, Co. They're a very knowledgeable company that we work with on a regular basis and refer many of our customers to for application specific solutions. I've provided a link to their website for your reference:

Hope that helps!
