I have a 69 camaro with mini tubs. The inner wheel well is flush with the rear frame rail. I'm trying to figure out how wide of a wheel i can use. i would like to go with a 18x11 or 18x12. Oh yeah, I have a 4 link and fuel cell so the only hangup is what i can fit in the wheel well.

Thanks in advance

Without notching the frame, I'd guess an 11" wheel with a 315 would be the max.

I agree on the 18x11's. I know you said you just started shopping for 18x11's. It will be hard finding 18x11's listed in anything but 3 piece wheels. If this is what you are looking for, there are none better than the Forgeline wheels.

In the two piece billet lines, like Rushforth, Schott, or Billet Specialites, you will find they are all made in 10" wide. This is because there is not a one piece 11" wide outer (or hoop). So these companies will have to take two 10" wide hoops and cut and weld them together for the extra inch in width, and you will find that to do this they are all about 400-450 dollars extra per wheel.

Let me know if we can help you in your wheel choice, there are plenty to choose from, I know, but only a few will accomodate what you are looking for in an 11" wide wheel, and do it in a timely fashion.

Our Rushforth Wheels are running 3-4 weeks. Forgeline wheels are spot on at about 4 weeks.

Good luck!
