C6-57 rear bumper install

Well Boys I unwrapped the rear bumper yesterday for the first time and installed it on the truck. We are building the rear tail light mounts to the fenders and figuring out how to hang a license plate cleanly. I would almost make it a trailer queen to not have to install the License plate.

When does it go to paint?

The cab is on there with final paint and it has been buffed on the inside and out. The bed goes next week once I get the doors back from the buffer. The front clip short of the hood has been shot in final black. We were fitting the tail light stanchons to the truck with the bumper, and getting all the shim count right to get all the bed to cab gaps money and get eveything perfect.

Someday we will have in house paint.

What all has been done to the bumper? I'm not real familiar with what a stock bumper looks like.

I've said it probably a hundred times, but damn - I love this truck!

The bumper is so close to the frame and bed, You can barely fit the bolt sin to bolt it on.

As far as the best bumper, you have not seen the secratary next store then, Her bumper is way better.

Why are they painting it in stages? Why not all at once?

The owner of the company i work for has a streetrod and it has a flip down license plate. When the car is running the plate is down when it is shut off the plate flips up and you can't see it.

The truck was painted in stages to keep the costs down on my end. I'm building this thing on my dime and only have so much funds. It was also done in stages for the the magazine coverage in the build stories in Truckin. It was also done in stage since it is BLACK. We installed a paint body on a bare metal chassis, that never happens. We also took some time off on the build to run my business. Plus I have made a few changes on the way. This was supposed to be a 75,000 shop truck 2 years ago.

The flip down license plate would be slick but there is no place to hide it since it is so tight and fully exposed in side the bed. I plan to show it with no plate and Install the bracket later. I hate license plates and outside mirrors, they ruin the flow of so many cars. I was tempted to sink on an angle into the tailgate.

Hey Rodger I hate to bother you but do you have a bumper height level straight on pic of the rear bumper. It is kind of distorting the edges with the B/W background. TIA
