do i need to strip the OPG black coating on my new fender and hood or can I treat it like DP90 and do my bodywork right over it? Thanks guys-Chris

Yes strip it off... Don't do your bodywork on top of it

I'm curious as to why. I have had several paint reps tell me that if the E-coat is in tact and looks good that it is as good as any sealer. Why do you say to take it off. Anyone else have an opinion?

I said take it off to do bodywork on top of. The plastic doesn't stick that good to E-coat. ....Just my opinion
If you don't need to do bodywork then you can sand the E-coat and prime with out stripping it all off

Thanks, I had been wondering. I've seen people on here doing both. I'll be there shortly and don't want to have to do things twice.
