Just sitting here waiting for my wife to get home to watch the kids before I get back at it. I thought I would share a couple pics of the center console that I just finished, as well as the trunk enclosure. Obviously, not totally finished yet, but you get the idea. Getting closer. Should be pretty well wrapped up by the end of the month. What do ya'll think?

It's an Eclipse head unit for now. I am getting an Azentek unit in a few weeks. By the way, They just won one of the "Best of CES" awards in Vegas. Check it out. www.azentek.com. Scott, Autorama is the 7-9th of March. It should be all finished by the middle of February. It's actually closer than it looks. I just have a little bit of wiring to clean up and get it all in looms, which I will be doing most of it today, then I can get the interior back in and go get it aligned and tuned. After that, just take it back to the painter for some touch ups and a final polish.

Jeff you know you're killing me, right? You're absolutely killing me with this car. There's no way you're leaving Cobo without hardware. I'm serious I might just park myself right by your car for the show and not move from that spot.

:DActually, I won't be leaving with anything but the car. I'm going to be in the ISCA display. It's like exhibition only "not judged" or something. I didn't really care about being judged anyway. I've been on both the winning and losing end of that show before and needless to say it's not always the best car that wins. I think at this level it's pretty safe to say that it's a nice car without a guy with a clip board walking around it trying to find something wrong. I'm not to worried about that. Besides, I like to just go down there and people watch. That's more fun than anything else. It never seizes to amaze me how some people actually leave their house:willy: See ya down there:thumbsup:

What year is that cluster for? Is that something you made or Marquez fabbed?
I like the look of it, and was thinking it would work nice in my 68 camaro project.

Loved the console and the trunk enclosure, you certainly are talented! Silly question, I'm building a console and was wondering what the best way is to attach the sucker to the tranny tunnel and/or dash? Can't wait to see the completed car!

Marquez designed and built the cluster along with the rest of the dash. It's made for a 69, however you could contact them about one for your 68.

Thanks! I glued a piece of wood to the tunnel and will fasten the back of the console to that from inside the storage compartment. The front will be bolted to the dash with a couple studs sticking out at the top of the console. It's kind of hard to explain without looking at it. I have a ton of hours in trying to get the console finished. It's a lot more work than one would think. The trunk wasn't to bad, I did my last car, so I kind of knew what to do there. All I can say is just start doing it and don't stop until it's done. Good luck!

Well it looks to me like it was time well spent. Your project is amazing. I'll give that a shot. I was considering welding a bracket to the tunnel that I could screw or bolt into, but man that sounds easier with the wood. I'll give it a shot.
