I am listing this car for my buddy who is not a computer fan. It is not quite Pro-Touring, but it is very cool. Especially for the money. I have been in this car several times and I can tell you it is a blast. It's like riding in a go-kart on the street. The owner has been working with VW's for 20+ years and has raced CORR and SODA off-road in the 1600 buggy classes. He knows his way around a V-dub. Anyway he is asking 10K for the car and I know personally he has more than that in materials. The racing bug has bitten again and he needs race car money. Here is a description that he wrote with some pictures. If anyone is interested pm or e-mail me at [email protected] and I can hook you guys up.

The car was completely torn down and sandblasted inside and out. It was then epoxy primed. The only rust on the car was minor surface rust, with exception of 2 small holes about the size of a quarter behind the rear side windows right above rear fender. Steel patches were made and welded in. The front nose section and rear apron were also replaced due to damage. It was thoroughly gone over to remove all dings and dents and it was primed and blocked several times. The paint is urethane base/clear. There were hours upon hours spent to achieve final finish All the body chrome has been removed. The under carriage of car is finished in gloss black The front fenders are 3" wider fiberglass and the rear fenders are 1 1/2" wider fiberglass from creative car craft. A new windshield and one piece door glass with window tint were installed. It also has a new hood and fiberglass running boards from creative car craft. Finally all new body rubber and seals were installed.

The interior was completely stripped and an NHRA approved roll cage installed. It has a new wiring harness, smooth fiberglass dashboard with auto meter gauges and 5” monster tach, Jenson stereo system, new carpet, headliner, and seats from a 1990 eagle talon. It has custom door panels, 4 sets of 5 point racing harnesses and a scat shifter.

The front suspension has been completely rebuilt with all new ball joints, tie rods and ends, new heavy duty swaybar and bushings, a set of CB Performance dropped spindles, and KYB gas adjust shocks.

The rear suspension was taken apart cleaned and inspected. It was then reassembled with original bushings that were still in good shape and KYB gas adjust shocks.

A new disc brake system was installed on the front and new drums were installed on the rear with new wheel cylinders.

The engine displaces 1776cc. It should make aprox. 100 hp. It has a counter weighted crank shaft, balanced and shot peened rods, Engle 110 camshaft, 90.5 Mahle pistons, Melling high volume oil pump, and CB Performance 044 cyl. heads. The heads have 35.5mm exhaust valves and 40mm intake valves. It has dual Cadron carburetors with an 1 5/8 merged header and fat boy muffler. It also has an external oil cooler and filter.

It has Michelle Aluminum 4 bolt wheels, 5 ˝ “ front, 8” rear.
I have an aluminum wing to go with the car but didn’t install it yet.

Again, 10K. It's a bargain. Let me know if anyone has any questions. Oh, the car is located just SE of Pittsburgh, PA.

My buddy found a racecar he wants to purchase. He said the price on the bug is up for discussion. Come and get it.
