Wow , this is Art! im in the process of redoing my 69 ragtop, and just wondering what an interior like this one goes for money wise.
5k, 10k, 15k, 20k?

Yan,
Tracy Weaver at "The Recovery Room" did the interior. $16k - $20k could reproduce it in your car. Since every one of Tracy's interiors is unique!

We had a reserve of $75k on the car and it sold for $66k. We would of liked it to get to $75k, but that's how auctions go sometimes oh well. On to the next project!
The funny thing is the new owner lives in Kansas City just 2 hrs from Omaha. So you take the car 1300miles to sell it and someone in your back yard buys it..

How does that work? I thought if the bids don't meet the reserve you don't have to sell?
It's a cool car. I would think it must of cost much more to build?

That seems like a heck of a deal for that car.. I'm sure there's a "bit" more $$ in it than that...

You can drop the reseve during the auction, or sell after it goes off the block.

When you are selling a car at a reserve auction you can drop the reserve anytime. The sellers assistant is there with you the whole time bugging you to drop the reserve and sell the car. I did not have real money until I said I would drop the reserve. When I did that, they whoot and hollered that the car was for sale and we got some real money action and it finally sold. I am disappointed for the hobby, but am happy I can start the next 2nd generation project! I made money on the last car and lost some here, but we will be back!
Yes Steve we had a little more in it than that, but at the end of the day we are satisfied!

Most normal interiors can be done between 10k and 15k,depends on what level a person wants to do.I made the dash in J2's camaro which added a lot of time to the cost. Not every car has to have that much work in it.They just wanted a above average job for "BOB"
