Dont know if you would call it a hobby, but more of a passion/way of life, but traveling all over hunting. I will go anywhere, anytime to hunt anything. I have had to weigh out some decisions on whether to spend money on the car, or go somewhere I have never been to hunt. The car wins most of the time, except when it comes to Turkey hunting and then that recieves all the money and time. I hope this doesnt offend any non-hunters.

hob·by 1 (hb)
n. pl. hob·bies
An activity or interest pursued outside one's regular occupation and engaged in primarily for pleasure.
What ever it takes to free your mind, I did the hunting thing for about ten years then switched to Deep Sea Fishing. I gave up the Fishing to stick to building the cars, but from time to time I need to walk away from the cars.

My other hobbies are sports, played football until needed surgery on my knee, and parents decided against me trying to pursue. The gym, I don't know if it is more of a hobby or an addiction.... <--- I go there when I have troubles with the car and can't figure out what wrong......
And I have a 18 month old son who is what I am working so hard for, I don't think he qualifies as a "hobby" though:lol:

I used to do the slot car thing. There was a local track with lots of different style tracks. We used to run "wing cars" and even dragsters and funny cars.
It got silly expensive. Sadly, our track closed.

I'm slowly getting back into it, but it's still expensive. Mainly because my kids are getting to the age where we can do some things togethor. I'm just tired of superman and pooh bear.

How about RC Cars? I was really big into those!!! I had a couple. I was so into that my dad started a company that built timing systems and autocross timing systems for RC Cars, now his company is more into the normal cars and out of RC, but it was a huge hobby for me

I was into the Accociated RC10 for a few years. That got real expensive quick. I had 3K into one car. Had a total of 3 cars and they all got stolen. That ended that.

bigtyme1, I've got a 1965/ 150 ft. 8 lane commercial grade Blue King Highbank Road course with new surface stored in a building one foot too narrow to set it up. The building is longer ,but need to knock a wall down. Track has 25x50 footprint . Me and My kid used to race on it 10 yrs. ago when it was set up in a local mall. Just another project to get at. Want it ? Cetchup

cetchup that's a pretty sweet Camaro you got there.
Other hobbies I have (too many)
1) Fishing - try to ANY free moment I have
2) Ice hockey - I play in a local beer league
3) Snowmobiling & Sea-Dooing
I used to build alot of models as a kid and was even into R/C cars heavily twice in my life. Once as a kid I had all sorts of different cars from Kyosho Ultima, Schumacher Pro-Cat & Cougar II, Tamiya Nissan King Cab and then again about 5-6 years ago I had a Traxxas T-Max and still have a Thunder Tiger EK4 (haven't run for 2-3 years) and a pro-Boat Miss Bud Hydroplane (which is still new in the box) :_paranoid
