I didn't plan on messing with this car until spring but some f#%$ing scumbags forced my hand and I had to have it towed to a new spot today. For the last 21 years, this car has been in storage in the same place in Duluth, MN. Never had a problem until this year. The unit has been broken into three times. This last time they tried to take the car. They clearly weren't prepared to tow it though which is what saved it.

I have a few ideas for the car but probably won't make up my mind until I start tearing it apart. There's really nothing special about it. It's just a 350, 2-barrel, 2-speed auto with A/C and power windows. No rust anywhere except for some on the top surfaces from 21 years of moisture condensing on it every spring. That's the original nasty green paint. The interior is in amazingly good condition for a 40 year old car. I think it only needs new carpet and a seam on the front driver's seat cushion sewn up. No cracks in the door panels or dash. The headliner is perfect. It's really too good to replace so I think I'm going to leave it as is. All the glass is original as is the drivetrain but that's going to be replaced with something a bit more modern. :D Anyways, here are some pics I took today:

That car looks great. Reminds me of my car when I first got it. I sent you a PM. Can I talk you out of it?

Nice car. Bench seat even. Yes, with a fold down armrest in the middle. However, it's the back seat that's new for me. I'll actually be able to haul passengers around in this thing. :woot:

A bench seat in a Firebird. Now that is too cool... Very nice. That bird is in very good condition. Have fun with it.

I'll actually be able to haul passengers around in this thing. :woot:You had an El Camino, there was room for literally a truck-load of people to ride with you. :D I see illegal Mexicans do it all the time. ;)

Great looking car Keith. Something tells me this will be even more badass than the 'Camino.
