Seems like we just got back from a very successful debut of "Joker" at this years SEMA event, and we were already loading the car back into the trailer to head out to Scottsdale for the 2007 Goodguys Southwest Nationals.
We arrived mid day Friday to register and park and it gave us an opportunity to drive the car around the show a bit. Lots of nice cars, a total of over 3500 cars there for the event.
Saturday morning we got in early, and parked the car over by the Muscle Car section, when Ed Capen came over from Goodguys, and after commending us for a job well done, suggested a better spot for us would be over in the Boyd's Pro Pick section. We of course took his advice and moved.
Later that day, they came around and awarded us the "Low, Smooth, and Cool" award sponsored by Air Ride Technologies. We were stoked. The cars first pro's pick. Happy as clams we cruised the show and checked out some of the nice cars that had showed up Saturday morning. What happend next was very unexpected.
We heard over the loud speaker that Boyd had cruised the picks and that there was a list posted at the Goodguys main tent of the top ten. We thought, well hell, might as well check and see who got 'em. Jason was the first to check the list:

That's us, entry number 1939, Steve Post, 67 Chevy. I didn't believe it when Jason turned around to high five Steve and I. I had to look again. Yup, that's us... we couldn't help but celebrate. Months of hard work, just felt a little more worth it.
Sunday we were all smiles. We were congratulated by many, Boyd, shook Steve's hand and said "very nice car". But the best part was when we were asked if we were taking the car to Columbus next year. We had answered that we were maybe planning on it. We were then told that really is the right arena for the car. So, I guess we're Ohio bound in July!
We're really happy that people like the car. Green is a hard color to pull off, but I think Joker came together well, and is a good representation of our style.
Here are some photos from the event:
