Darrell, I picked up the Sony DSC P-100 a few months ago and love it! It's a 5.1 mega pixel, 3x optical and 3x digital zoom with Carl Zeiss lens.

Scott is the photography guru around here, so I'm sure he'll chime in soon. He gave me a ton of advice before I bought mine.

I have a Nikkon 775 that I really like because it's way easy to use, and takes great pictures.

My Dad has an HP (forget the model) that is way better though. His turns on way quicker than mine. Mine takes about 20 seconds to start, which sucks if you see a car driving by and want to snap a picture. His also takes video with audio (mine only does video).

Ive got 2 a small olympus stylus 400 and a Canon D30 with 28-200mm lens. Still need to learn to properly use the D30.

I have a nikkon 3200. It is small, and thats why I like it, fits in the pocket and always have it on me.
Decent zoom, but dont use digital zoom. Takes videos with audio. Has alot of good settings.
Want to see how the pictures look, just go to my webshots, or my members page thats now up!

Yep, I'm a huge fan of Sony Digital Cameras with Carl Zeiss lenses. My old beater 4.3megapixel Sony DSC-S85 has taken almost 10,000 pictures.

And we have seen almost 9,000 of them on Lateral-g.net. I wonder what the other 1000 are taken of?? ;)

I have a Nikon D100 with a few different lenses and shooting in RAW-format. Also one Nikon Coolpix 4600 for household photography.

Tough to beat the new line of Fuji Finepix. I have yet to find another digital camera with over 10x optical zoom for equal money. I paid 250 for my 5100 and takes awesome pics, you can see the dirt getting kicked up off my kids feet playing baseball and I was takling pictures over 100 feet away freehand.

Started off with a Sony about 4 years ago, then a Kodak last year and this year, it's Fuji F700 all the way. This thing is awesome. 6.2MP, a bad@ss zoom, and it even takes great pictures at dusk. I'd recommend it to anyone. The Sony was a 1.3MP and was ok at the time. The Kodak never really got great pics and it took awhile for it to "boot up".

I'll be in the market soon for a Prosumer type digital camera. I'm not 100% sure which model I'll be getting, but optical zoom, boot time and form factor are at the top of the list for what's important to me.
