Here's an illustration Al commented on and was wondering if it was Illustrator &
or Photoshop? It was all Photoshop. I sketched the Idea from an old Magazine ad and then Illustrated it using Photoshop and created paint like effects for the background. Talk about Red!:D

If you use like colors it does not take away from the car illustration.

i see all of these awsome illustrations...what i dont get is how do you guys do the shaddowing...like i cant get the lighting to look correct on the paint...any suggestions?

All I can say is experiment using layers. I generally us white on a separate layer for highlights. A little burning and dodging can help if you adjust the pressure 10 to 30 percent. There is a lot to learn as you practice. It took me a few years to get them "Just right."
If it were easy there would be more people doing this. All I can say is check out tutorials....there are some on Car design news

Very nice work. This style looks great.
Lots of the work on this site really makes me want to get back into Photoshop with a vengeance! haha
