Fixed my pulley problem.. worked on wiring and went for a little drive to start the "tune the shocks" process.
Then it started getting dark and 4 f'ing o'clock so I snapped some random pics. The wife is outta town and my Half Life 2 (episode 2) hasn't downloaded yet.
Behold the results of my boredom.. lol.. feel free to post up random car pics into the thread. I have another 1.5 hours of download to go before I can start blowing things up.

This one is a "work in progress".. can't seem to get it the way I want.

It's good practice in trying to find the right way to look at and then light something. Taking pics, when you're just doing it for fun, is actually pretty relaxing since you have to concentrate. If it's not raining tomorrow I'm gonna try my suction cup rig out.

It's what my coater calls "titanium".. it's a thermal coat. I used it on the whole exhaust system.

awsome keeps getting better
Steve, I like the way you made your upper rad hose. If you don't mind, what parts did you use? How did you get the elbows done?
Secondly (edit), what coupler did you use at the end of the tb elbow going into the maf?

I hate to yank your chain but your car is one of the nicest I have seen to date. Really well done. I wasn't that impressed until I saw it in person.

Thanks, It's really easy to make it all nice and sexy in photos.. hell, you should see some of the cars we shoot.
It's a big compliment that you liked it in person. I'm just a guy with some tools and a vision, but without a very talented group of people to work with the car wouldn't have been built.. twice. lol
Gonna snap some more tomorrow for Scott.. he requested a bunch of shots for some sort of "Skunkworks" deal he's working on. :_paranoid

Rock chips don't show up well in pics.. thank god.. besides, I'm having deflector shields added. They're powered by my new flux capacitor.. Ok, it will just be Xpel, spray guard and blue tape...

It's the same NAPA hose I used for my '69 but it was a bit long so I cut a chunk out of the middle and made a barbed pipe to join them (with more Gates thermo-couplers). The upper hose part number is 8301 and the lower hose's number is 9038.
The 90-degree elbow on the intake is a cast aluminum piece from Street and Performance. They also modified the MAF with a billet ring that holds to the elbow with three set screws. This way I only needed a rubber coupling hose on one side. I think they will even make with the set-screw deal on both sides if you ask. The rest is made from 4-inch exhaust pipe (a straight piece and a 45).

Steve:
Post as many random shots as you have time for, they are really nice to look at.
BTW: What shifter do you use, and what is the distance between gears? (I'm assuming it's a short throw)

It's the old McLeod deal with the Belville washers. They don't sell it now, but Red still sells them. Very nice feel to it. Short throw, but I've never measured. The shift ball is MOMO.

I have it somewhere, although if you call up McLeod and ask they will give it to you. Red was working the B&M/McLeod booth at SEMA so I know they are on great terms.

Steve,
I love those kinda shots and take a bunch of them at shows myself. I'm always looking at and recording how people solve little problems (hood hinges, steering column exit into eng-bay, fender bolts, A/C routing - stuff like that), what colors or finishes they use, fasteners, etc. So keep posting those shots and I'll keep saving them into my solutions library !
The car came out great - again ! I really enjoy all the effort you put into colors and finishe selections, really makes your car pop.
Thx ! Jim
