Yes, this is a real SE! I have the PHS on the car, along with a clear title and cowl tag, plus a complete build sheet.

This ia a 400 4-spd Bandit car, one of 1107 made. The original engine is not in the car, but will come with the car. The transmission is not original, as it was gone when I bought the car.

Why am I selling it? Because I am getting into building custom cars and I just can't bring myself to hack up this car. I had it waiting for a rotisserie resto and planned on doing a full pro-touring build on it, but as a Trans Am enthusiast I just can;t bring myself to do it. I have been working on this car for 3 years, but started the tear down again and now it sits in its current state.

The body is straight except for some rust in the front floorboards. It only needs a front section from the seats forward, and can probably be replaced with patches and not an entire section. It is very minor as far as floorboard rust goes. The rear driver's quarter has some damage and could use attention, but the body is in VERY good shape with RUST FREE front quarters, inner fenders, core support, tail panel, etc. The body of this car is in amazing shape and would be an easy fix! It is missing all of the A/C system (I have some of the dash ductwork, but the rest was toast when I got the car) and some interior parts, but a lot is there and the parts missing are available from repro shops.

And here are the goodies I have done to the car:

Built W72 400 out of a 78 TA - .04 over with 10:1 TRW pistons, 6X4 heads milled and 3-angled, Edelbrock Performer intake and Summit 2802 cam, rebuilt Quadrajet carb, and everything new - new distributor, alternator, belts, etc.

Transmission is a rebuilt Super T-10 with a SPEC Stage 3 clutch kit and a resurfaced W72 flywheel

Brakes are 12" fronts and stock rears, 4-wheel discs. The front has b-body spindles and slotted 1LE rotors with stock calipers to fit under the 15x8 snowflakes. New calipers powdercoated gold, new pads, new master cylinder, and the spindles and a-arms have been powdercoated gloss black. The front frame has also been painted black and solid body mounts have been installed.

The suspension is just loosely put together since I planned on replacing the hardware, so you would need to tighten it up. The front has Hotchkis 2" drop springs and poly bushings. The car also has VSE 3-way adjustable shocks all around, brand new.

The car is orignally a camel tan interior and the dashboard has a cap installed and redyed.

This would be a great project for someone who wants to own and build a Bandit car. My wife and I are going to be getting into building cars and we want to be able to chop up a Trans Am and not feel bad about it, so we want this to go to someone who will give it what it needs.

$7500 obo, I have tons of money in this thing, but it is time to move on.

Weird, they show up for me. I have them hosted on photobucket.

BTW, the car has all the flares and an uncut shaker. I need to get the shaker back from a friend who was going to make a mold out of it, though. Plus a good set of grilles and the factory 8-track.
