Well, I have owned my 69 camaro for 1.5 months. I have driven it 2 hours max. Part of it is my own fault, part of it may be the shop that's working on it. I will leave the name of the garage out b/c it has been a good experience as a whole. I'm just getting a little annoyed with what seems to be a capless amount of labor hours. The quote started at 17hrs, 25hrs, 40hrs and is now at 55 hrs.......WTF!!!!!
A completely seperate problem is the fact that the shop owner thinks that I may have 2 "tired" cyclinders in my 396/402.......Unfortunately that'll have to wait since I just blew my wad on the install of my 4 link and T56 viper........
Like I said before, just need to vent my intention is not to bitch about the shop's work or service aside from the 2 false delivery dates. Apparently they were only able to put the car on the alignment in today's 8 hour day.

Not to burst your bubble but my Charger has been in "paint jail" since January 06. Between chassis work and bodywork I'm looking at a very nice Thanksgiving of this year!! Christ I need to learn to weld, but sanding and priming...forget it. Have patience brother, your car will return.

That's the way it is with these cars. It's one thing, then another, then another, then another. 1 1/2 months is nothing. Wait 3 years and a ton of money and still not have a working car or money or....wait, this is your vent thread. :P

Need a hug? Come here, it'll be O.K....just messing with you.
I've had my 67 for 5 days and worked on it three times. It's funny I fix one thing and another breaks. It's frustrating till a nice looking couple in a Lamborghini pull up next to you and starts gawking at your car and saying a lot of nice things. At that point it's all good.
Let me know how you like that four link.

LOL. Still waiting, but I guess that's the name of the game. Doesn't seem real reasonable to me to take 7 days to do finish a catback exhaust. I was told by a friend that the shop moves SLOOWWWW but it's getting a little ridiculous. Live and learn.

I started on my car in june of 06 I wont be done till april or june of 08. It takes time to build these cars. When it is all done you can have a great time with the car and the whole build process will just be a subtle memory.

That does seem like a long time. Then again any time the car is being worked on seems to take to long.

Just curious, but what is the labor for? 55 hours to install the T56 and the 4-link?
