What would be the best way to get the fins or gills perfect on my 1/4 panels. any other trade secrets are alway helpful. I'm a bit out of practice.
I use tape to get my lines perfect. always guide coat. and I'm using Hutches hand files and duro blocks.

i usually do areas like that by hand but it is very important to watch what is happening as you sand, so you can manipulate as needed to have it come into shape

dont be affraid to "make" a block, duro-block shape pretty easy witha 3" ginder.....

...which brings up another thought about "trueing" up blocks... i use a granite surface stone(sheet of glass/mirror would work as well) and 120gt.... then "block" the block.... makes them nice and flat, its amazing to see just how "worn" a block becomes after not much use. a lil off topic... but kinda related.
