Well this is my set up 12 bolt with 4.11 gears 18 inch wheels tire size 265-35-18 BFG 4L60 trans the car dies out at 70 mph gears too tall tires to short looking for a good in between setup love highway driving just high revs at 75-80 mph so its pretty much local cruising for me, oh and it sucks up the gas on the highway thanks in advance for all the help

What engine do you have? What's the combo?

Puncuate PLEASE!!!! It makes it hard to figure out what the problems are. I would step down to at least a 3.73 with that short of a tire. You could put taller tires on it and reduce effective ratio or install new gears.

yeah i agree.... need to know engine combo. my mustang runs a 302 ho motor witha T5, 3:50 gear with 25" tire, revs are great @ highway speeds.

with a bigblock grunt horse i would say around a 3:30-3:55, small block i would venture a 3:55-3:70

3.55 would be great, but if you can spring for the extra loss in top end, a 3.73 would be great for get up and go, i don't know what type of power your putting out though, so if its only a mild engine i'd go for the 3.73, if its a beast i'd say 3.55

i vote 3.73 for that kick-your-ass effect while still getting decent top end :), this is a popular mod to do on track-going camaros as well as performance street camaros, its a very good all around setup, and that overdrive gear on the back of the 4l60e should mix well with it

I see that now, it goes back to that puncuation thingy, makes it hard too read without it. If don't have to have hard launches and would prefer better cruising and gas mileage, I would step back to a 3.55 with an auto or 3.73 with a 6 speed.
