The shop that leases a space from me, builds alot of high power Supras. They are the guys that built my TT Viper, Lexus and my Supra. They have a Supra auto car that runs 7.70's and built another 6spd Supra just for a dyno queen. They decided they wanted to take the Dyno Queen to a event next week in AZ. We have been going to the track for the past 3 wed.night test/tune. I have 7 passes in this car total. Last night I went a 8.89 and a 8.75. This is a 3.4 6cly Toyota motor with a 91 mm turbo. We run about 40 psi of boost. The power band is 6800-9500.. I have to leave the line about 7300 on anti-lag, this car is a ride.
I can't powershift it because we might blow up the stock tranny. It also has the stock rear end and axles. We are going to AZ next week for the event and will probably turn up the boost a bit.:)

It makes 1520rwh but I was running it at about 1250 or so. It's hard to launch because of the big turbo..
Stuart, practice starts at 7:00pm..

Wow, congrats SW! That's getting it done.

That's incredible SW. Go have some fun !!
So how much boost CAN they run ?
It is amazing to me that they can run that kind of power with stock drivetrain parts. That stuff must be made of some pretty high quality materials and/or tight tolerance. Any idea what the car weighs in at ?
Too bad I couldn't get them/you to bring it to the World Street Finals in Orlando at the end of this month. It would turn some heads.
Take Care SW.

BTW, 8 seconds is a GREAT goal !!! Congrats. :):):)

You should have a whole hell of alot more ET in it than that.
What was your MPH and how much does the car weigh ?
MPH usually is a constant and an idea of what a tuned ET should be.
Example.... first pass on our Camaro was 11.50 at 140.
After some chassis tuning and learning the car its a consistant 9.30 @144.
Ours is a naturally aspirated small block that makes 535rwhp in a 3100lbs car.
Great couple runs.... sounds liek a NICE ride !

Is your car a 6spd? This car is a total street car with a/c ect. 3550lbs with me in it. The same set up in the auto car went 7.8..

Congrats SW! Sounds like you, Kean and Justin have the silver car running HARD! Good Luck in AZ. I hope you hand Woon his azz!!!
No, 2spd powerglide which kills short times. If we go to a 3spd TH400 it would pick up about a .10-.15.
I am sure the 6sp is a hairy ride and you have 400lbs on us. But with an extra 700rwhp, I'd think you would run more than only .5 quicker than us.
Dont get me wrong... I am not trying to say anything negative at all.
Its a killer engine for sure. I just feel your vehicle set-up still could be tweeked to get a little more from the whole combo.
And by the way... thats more than impressive for stock axles and trans for sure ! I'd love to see the old stock Camaro 10bolt hold up to a 5,000rpm trans brake launch.

I understand what your saying, if this was a drag car only, there would be a lot of changes. As I stated, this motor has a powerband from 6800-9500, anything under that, you could outrun it in a diesel. One of my old Supras had a completely stock engine with a T72 turbo and a 90 shot of nos, it went 9.81@153 and I drove it home. The auto car went 7.7 last wed, with a stock rear end and axles also. I'm not a auto guy, so I prefer to drive anything with a stick, plus it's more exciting.:)
Jeff, it's going to a fun event. Woon has over 70+ passes in his car vs my 7 passes in this car.

i understand where your coming from on the manual transmission part.
Sticks are more fun on the street, autos well there not bad but, just not the same.
I would love to ride in that car to see what its like. Its been awhile since Ive gone faster then a 12 in a car. that car makes me miss my bike
10.71 @130
Totally agreed. And the 7.7 is about what I thought it should run for that power. You are right about the manual being more fun. And that 8.8 is a sick time for a car you can drive home. Nice video too.

Nothing is better than going fast, I still remember my licensing run's for my NHRA license, And whats funny that after going 6's driving a slower car feels like sitting still.
