Man I've finally found a home. I must say a beautiful site and a TON of beautiful cars...even if they are mostly GM. Lemme introduce myself: I have a 68 Dodge Charger R/T (#'s matching so the purists hate me!!). So far the car's been gutted, chemically stripped, and the only thing stock is some of the body, the engine and the crank. Everything else is restomodded or pro-touring.
Front end is all Magnumforce with 13" Wilwoods and AE coilovers, shock tower braces from the firewall. Glass fenders, hood, and Shaker.
Rear is a Dana 60, 35 splines from Moser, QA1 coilovers, adjustable ladder bars, diagonal link, and 12.5" Wilwoods.
Interior is an 8 point cage, flaming river tilt column, fabbed aluminum dash, heavy-ass pleather seats (for the Power Tour), 5 point harnesses and AC might be in the future and power windows.
American Racing Torq-thrusts 2's are powdercoated black. Michelin Pilots on the corners. 335's in the rear and 265's on the front.
Engine is the good-old-boy 440 reinforced to make (I hope) around 750 horses with EFI and a c-fugal s-charger. A 727 converted to 6-speed auto will also be added.
Last but not least the car is going to paint as we speak. Satin black with clear on the whole car, gloss black bumblebee stripes on the ass, Shaker scoop will be gloss black to go with the gloss black rims. The only chrome will be the door handles, flip top gas cap, and the lug nuts.
Now then, don't any of you Bowtie knuckleheads steal my idea for the paint. Oh yeah, I owe this all to Mark Stielow's white 69 and of course the Gottlieb's Big Red Camaros for the inspiration. Yeah, I know, 1st Gen Camaros are kick ass. Thanks again and I'm glad to be a member.

Forgive me for being so illiterate but how do you send a picture to this forum topic?
if you have the pic hosted on the web somewhere just click on the yellow postcard looking box near the top and paste the web address into it. If it's on your computer it can be uploaded as an attachment. Scroll down to the attachment button and locate the pic in your computer and it will show as an attachment to your post. There is a size limit on these though. Both the attachment and postcard box are located when you're posting, so either reply to your post or edit one of the posts you've already made and you'll see the boxes.
If it's too large and not hosted on the web yet just e-mail it to me and I'll post it for you.
Here's your pic.

Nice ride! When I was 10 my Dad had a 68 Charger R/T 440 triple black he had traded in to get my Mom a 69 RS Camaro. He kicks himself til this day. He would kill to find a clean Charger again, looks like you're gonna have fun with yours.

Mopork, that Coronet cop car...is that gonna be your next project? That thing looks wicked. I've always loved the black wheel look.
My Charger only came with a 440, 3 speed auto, heater, and 3.23's in an 8 3/4". It's still #'s matching (nothing special to me actually) but the purists still bitch. I think the Pro-Touring look will never die. Putting modern "guts" in a classic car body is just way cool. The guys at work don't understand why I'm sinking this amount of money into an old car like this. Then again, these are the same guys that bait deer all year, climb up in a tree stand with a 12 pack and shoot the dam things from a stand...and call it hunting. BS, your not hunting your sitting and waiting.

J-440,
yes i did the stock resto and I'm already bored to death of it. I have those 18" steel charger cop car wheels that are going on it and a switch from all white paint job to black n white. The suspension is already setup for handling well. I would love to "pull you over sometime" :unibrow:
Oh yes the credit for that rendering goes to ZVT he did a great job don't you think ?

Nice, another Mopar. I made the switch recently and jumped into a 69 RoadRunner.
Here's the car, and the rendering of where I'm going with the car. Welcome to Lateral-G!

Welcome aboard, oh, and screw the purist. I have already upset the Pontiac crowd, and now I am working on the Charger guys too. Mine is a 72 with a new 6.4/TKO600/XV Motorsports combo.
Mo Mopars is a good thing.
