I enjoyed watch that. What a fun way to enjoy the rain.
"what was that ratcheting sound though?"
Windshield Wipers Vibration?
A Question:
It seems he was throwing the car into a skid by dumping his clutch on a downshift, then maintaining (Controlling) the skid with the use of the engine in a lower gear keeping the tires spinning.
Is this correct?
Also, I have always thought what he was doing was self induced, "Power Sliding" (Before the Fast and the Furious), whereas "Drifting" in the technical definition was done by entering a corner correctly under reduced power, and as you exit the corner you increase your power output, thus causing the car to, "Drift", to the outer edge of the race track. (all four wheel are sliding/drifting at the same time. It's a fast way to get through a turn, and a beautiful thing to watch when done properly.
Any truly informed information clearly sought.
Thanks,
Ty O'neal

depends the track and the turns some you can powerslide some you have to clutch kick or pull the e brake to get it good and sideways. and keep the rpms up to keep the tires spinning.
