Steve,
Shrifter will up shift but will not down shift. When down shift paddle is pulled the red light on the reciver blinks but will not shift. Also there are two mode switches on the reciver what are they for? I know this is something simple but Ineed help.

sounds like the mode switches lost there way, typically #1 is upshift and # 2 is downshift, you can program it easily, call steve i am sure he will walk you thru it in mins.
He usually works sat so try him.

We provide test lights on the both the transmitter and receiver for just this kind of reason. Allows us and you to quickly isolate and correct potential problems.

You might have accidentally sent the mode switches into "learn" mode. You can pop the cover off the receiver and look on the inside of the cover for instructions. But they are very simple. Hold mode button for three seconds. Test light will blink. Tap the appropriate paddle and it will learn the security code. This security learn feature prevents your paddle shifter from opening the neighbor's garage door.

Anyway, call me Vin. Not so easy to troubleshoot on a message board.

Good. Easy Pleasey. That's the idea. Call me during the week with your car plugged into the laptop and I will teach you how to tune like a pro. Takes about 20 minutes.
