last summer i testet the Camino on dyno: 330rwhp
thats ok for me, but now i have a problem
the Oldsmobile from my wife is ready and i feel now, the engine in the Olds runs better ....and FASTER ! :willy:
i build this engine for the olds with the same block, camshaft and so on. the one and only difference are the Vortec heads.

any idea ?

I think the Vortecs are better out of the box than the Darts. Fully ported would be a different deal in my opinion.

aah, you have the 1.550'' Springs. what is your engines rpm range ?

yes 1.550 springs rpm is about 3500 up and it pulls like a mother untill you let out of it this car is basically a street racer though . i wouldnt want to run a automatic with this combo on the street . from what i can tell i would change your cam and intake. i have allways had good luck with the victor jr and i allways run crane cams no exceptions. i have ran comps stuff befor and had verrrrrrrry bad luck with it. motors were allways down on power . but others like comp . as far as cam call crane. comp and a few others and see what they recomend

I like the cylinder heads more so than the carb choice. And your cam might be a bit small. But before changing anything, I would confirm that you have adequate compression and then find a shop with a Lambda meter to confirm that your carburetor is keeping up with the rest of the combination. Alternatively, you can purchase a Lambda Meter here.
