Ultimate B-Day Present

Check out what Dirk Van Zuuk built me for my 40th birthday with the help of John McBride at GMP Diecast. A 1/18th scale Streetfighter Series Camaro was stripped and detailed to look just like my car. My wife stole the actual paint stash from my shop and sent it to Dirk who then sprayed the car and HAND PAINTED the graphics. The hard part, now, is that Dirk took it back home with him to add bumpers, mirrors, lights, spoiler, etc. Hurry Dirk! Many thanks to Dirk, Mary and John for this one in a million gift.

Oh and tell John McBride to get this thing into production because this would be the best looking Streetfighter yet.:D I might not be able to wait though, I was just making a list two days ago of cars from here that I want to make out of GMP cars to go with the rest of my collection.

That is pretty neat, I love the paint detail and he even got the Kinesis wheels correct!

Color is an early 70's VW bug gold.

Oh man! you need to take a trip to Winder, GA and tour the GMP facility. There are literally hundreds of cool prototypes on display and the people are awesome. You'll see some pre-production samples with variations that will give you tremendous insight into the design process. It is an ultimate "kid in a candy store" experience.

Glad you liked it Steve! Dirk got the bumpers and other various parts. So I'm sure he's hard at work finishing the last couple details.
