Hi guys,

Ben tells me it is official. Our charger is in PHR as a dream car this month so we can share it with everyone now. I have not seen PHR but I bet it looks great. I asked Ben to design a 72-73 Charger for my shop. My very first car was a 73 charger. It was a real piece of sh-- but it was mine and I loved it. I have to give him all the credit for the design-all I did was ask him to show me his ideas for the car and I did not change a thing. All I can say when I saw it was WOW. I hope you like as much as I do. I never thought I would want to build a 73 charger but this one has to be built now. He is truly a man of vision and talent.

I love that concept and Ben gave that boat proper proportions! You're going to love working with Mike. He goes to great lengths to stay true to the design!

How many Dream Cars of the month are you going to build, Mike? I'm going to have to draw up a Mopar next!

Wow is right. That might be the coolest looking Charger I have ever seen. Flares, doors, nose--perfect! Make it happen.

Thanks guys!

Mike R- Bill's already seen it and feels vindicated because I chose the same wheels that he's doing....I can't believe I missed that on Jason's rendering. I wish I had known or I would have spec'd something different. I was proud to get his approval though, it meant a lot to me.

Jason-Sorry dude, I didn't realize you did the same wheels. DOH! Maybe we should add one of yours on there!

I really enjoy working with Mike and his extremely talented team. They are true craftsmen. We've collaborated in the past on a couple cars but this was sort of a first opportunity to really push the design mods. I rarely get to do a Mopar so I was all over this one.

I also have some great memories of a triple black 440 73 my uncle built back in the early 90s. That thing was a monster!

And thanks again Steve for adding it to the Dream Car of the Month stable of killer cars everyone's been cranking out. I really enjoy this feature!

Ben, as always, really well done! Both the concept and the rendering are super-clean! Can't wait to see this one progress!

I am glad to see this one being built. As soon as I saw the picture of the rendering, I emailed Ben and told him what a killer job he had done. The wheel choice for my particular rendering was Jason's choice that I finally agreed to after MUCH ado. Then, by chance, when Ben choose them too, it showed me that two different artists thought they were right for the car. Mike and Time Machines will do a great job as usual with this one and I for one can not wait to see it done. My similar project has been a bit slow this year since I have been focused on other things, but for now we are planning to debut it at the Year One Experience next year. While my car will be a "Budget Build" it will be fun to compare the two. I feel Ben really hit the mark with his drawings and I only have one complaint about it...hehe

Bob Johnson told me about two months ago that "those cars really need the grill and headlights resessed back from the bumper." Now, if you look at Ben's drawing, he did exactly that. The morning Bob got his copy of PHR, my phone rings. I know exactly what he is fixing to say...lol
I just wonder now how much this little mod is going to cost me.......lol
Thanks a lot Ben!

:hail: That is one bad ass rendering all the best charger body mods in one. I love the 71 charger body style but that is even better with all the cool mods.

What are those cool side view mirrors from ?

If I told you, I'd have to....well you know.

Actually, I designed them from scratch. Every time I look at the rendering though, they could stand to be about 10% bigger. But I'm a picky SOB though.

Bill, I can't tell you how happy I am that you and Bob like it...good design is sometimes not the cheapest thing in the world. LOL

Thanks for all the great comments guys. I've had this in my head for a looooooong time and wanted to get it on paper....and eventually on the road.
