Have a questiong about 502

Hello guys, I have a chance to buy a 502 from a guy that say's it has 800 miles on it. He is asking 5500.00 for it. He states that it has 502 hp but the motor has cast Iron heads..... If im not mistaken the ZZ502 is the 502hp and has alum heads. And the non-zz has cast head's with lower hp. Am I right? Or is there a 502 hp with cast heads? And last question is it worth 5500.00??

I need to give him a call at the end of the week, so I need to find out asap.

502 hp 502 all came with aluminum heads. Sounds like the 450 HP version or less, and not a great deal at that price. You can buy the one he has for $5788 brand new with a warranty. For $6299 you can get a complete new ZZ502 long block. There are also many other crate motors from other vendors which may be more what you're looking for, but that one you found does not sound like a good deal for a used engine.

WoW, thanks for the help. I thought the zz had alum heads, not cast iron.
