The Swedish magazine Bilsport has been haunting me for some time to get the car ready for an article. Well, today we did the photoshoot. Gonna be some great pictures. They rigged the camera on the front to get some cool pictures when the car is moving.
I'll keep you updated when the article is published and there is a cool surprise with that...

In the first post I promised a surprise and here it is. The Bilsport magazine has a testtrack were they run most of all the cool cars they write about and they have a former professional driver that does all the driving of the cars. They even ran a F1 there earlier this year!
So I brought my car there today and boy did he drive it. Cool to see the brakes glowing. He did a pretty good time with my car, which by the way is the oldest one they have tested. It was on street tires, street front end setup and a damp track and he drove a 1.34.1. The driver said that with proper tires, better setup of the front and a dry track it would go under 1.30. They have driven a C6 at 1.28 earlier this year. The Jordan F1 did 1.13!
It was a 650 mile roundtrip for me and it drove just sweet. Cruising at 75-80 mph at 24 mpg!! LSx power rules!!

I remember when the car was just a plan and your LS engine just sitting here in my shop getting ready to hop a boat to you. Congrats on the journey, looks very good.

Thanks Jody, it's exactly 2 years since that. I am for ever thankful for your great help that you provided.
At the track I was in good company.

Congrats! But it had to be a little scary handing over the keys:_paranoid , pretty cool that with race tires it would hang with a C6.

I wasn't worried. That guy is the Swedish equivalent to "the Stig" so for me it was an honor to let him drive my car. And it was really fun to see him do it too. He started the lap with a controlled oversteer to the first gate on the track. This will be a memory for me to live on over the winter :)
