Classic Update kit p/n 500686 for 69 camaro, retails for $529, but I can save you a few bucks when you are ready to order.

Mike's right! The Classic Update Kit is the best kit for your application. It's compatible with Vintage Air, Covan Classic, Classic Instruments, Dakota Digital, etc.

It's a 21 circuit, 18 fuse, ATO style panel (bolt on type) that mounts in the exact place of your original.

Here's what it looks like if you wanted to take a peek at it:

It has complete color instructions and comes with headlight & dimmer switches, also. All GM color-coded.

Plus, you can bounce and tech questions off me right here on the board while your installing & I'll help you out.

Good luck with your project & have fun!

Theresa,
Does the classic update have dedicated circuits for EFI? My 69 camaro has every aftermarket component you just listed plus I am going to run a LSX with a speartech harness.

Can i order the classic update with a rear body harness already terminated for the LED tailights I have?

Can I order it with the upgraded front harness for brighter headlamps?

Could I use one of the circuits for the power top so I don't have to run the stock firewall bolt on circuit breaker?

And.......does it mimic the stock 69 set up where the car draws it's power from the "splice" near the horn relay? Do you guys have some sort of "power bus" system?
Sorry for the un-educated description. I ask because I never liked the way power was brought into the harness on stock 69 camaros.

I called AAW a few months ago and customer service told me that I needed to run the HWY 22 because I wanted dedicated EFI, etc. Others might disagree, but I would hate to have to wire my car that way.

Whew...
I just had a brief consult with our head tech guy about a couple of your questions and he said "where there's a will, there's a way" and asked if you can call him to go over this since it's so involved.

There's a million ways to work around things to get the system you want, but we need to ask a TON of questions & it could go on forever here.

Can you call today? After 3 (Eastern) would be best. Toll free 800-482-WIRE. Ext 216 to talk directly to Tech / Ext 229 if you want to say hi to me first. :)

Thanks for looking into this.

How do I get through to the head tech guy? It would be very frustrating if I get the same dude as last time who ended the conversation by telling me I needed to buy the HWY 22 kit.

I will call thursday.
