Since I purchased this mustang I have done many things to improve the straight line performance. It has worked well so far
First time out with this car netted me some 10.30's at 133.
This was a major improvement from the best in the PHR magazine of 10.73.
My next time out with all new rear suspension netted us a 10.16 @ 136.
I also went to a 175 jet in the spray .
This time I have changed the car to 5 lug used clip elimintors and power slot 5 lug front rotors, and also used a friends NOS nozzle kit that goes under each injector. We also changed the injectors to a 42 lbs versus the MSD 38 LBS since they wont work with the NOS nozzle base.
Today I decided to try out some other slicks that I got on the wheel/tire package deal since changing to 5 lug. WE upped the jets to a 200 shot using this new NOS system .
Well lets just sy the air quality today was FAR from good to run at all . Humidity was at a all time high for runs with this car .
After trying to get the car to hook we gave up . It simply wont hook on the tires I was trying to use. Next week I will go back to my Mickey T's and try again.
Now the result.
Best pass and others within hundredths was a 10.36 @ 139.2 this was with a 1.75 60 ft versus the 1.47-1.51 normall 60's I have had.
I am sure I will be posting very soon that the car did go 9's and at about 140.
I predict a 9.89 will be the result.
I am so impressed with this car , cheap , fun , and reliable 9 second performance, How could anyone complain?
Someone will get a heck of a car ...when it goes 9's ITS UP FOR SALE. !

Make sure you get some good pictures at the track.. I will DEFINETLY run an update in PHR if you can get in the 9s.
:)
Under $11k for a 9 second car.. now that's cool. (and it still gets good mileage to boot)

I will Steve, It will go 9's or bust haha....Update being a story on the car or a little caption?
Hopefully wheels up pics will happen !
And for under 11k , yeah right beileve that and I will tell you another story .
The owner informed of how the build number was obtained. For some one to duplicate this car would have 20k in it.
Not to mention all the stuff I did to it.
EVERYONE seems to leave out labor, no one works for free !!!!
I was recently reading another article on build cost and about fell off my chair with the things left out, engine, trans, gas tanks R&D , parts used that are no longer used....Thats a whole other story .
PM me when you can, I try sending you PM's and you never answer back ?
Is your phone still working?

Don't know.. depends on how good of a picture(s).. most likely something in the news section with a launch shot and a story of what was done to get there.
It's fair to leave out labor that you did yourself.. If I put 100 hours of labor into my Fairlane I wouldn't include that time into "what I have in it".. If you pay for labor you should include that.
My phone works, I haven't gotten any phone calls from you though (That I see).. ring me up tomorrow :)

don't forget to account for parts sold that would help get some of your investment back.
By the way, a list of mods would be nice just so everybody could see realistically what it would take to duplicate it.

To me the point of this swap is to see what we can do with the LS engine and prove it to be a great performer ... we do already know this however !
We all know Hot Rodding cars is expensive , parts all cost about the same . Our initial investment is where you will see the end result savings, If you buy a car for $500 or 60,000 and then throw 50k in parts at it we all know why one car is cheaper.
