Rear end question

ok, i got a set of rear end gears, prt # 12479316. i asked my parts dept about application for it and they say it fits 1982-2005 8.5 rear ends now i got a 8.5 in my nova, and was wondering if they would fit mine, i dont think there would be a differnece. im wondering if they list for what vehicles it might of come factory. any imput on if it would fit my 8.5 10 bolt, let me know thanks

You are correct. An 8.5 is an 8.5... late 1969 to 1994 (and 88 to 94 IFS).

thank you very much. i figure it would work everywhere i looked it never asked for a specific year or model, so i figured i would work. i just wanted to double check.
