Holy Smollie, even better then I had hoped. Propes again to our boys at Forgeline. I cannot wait to get that car down here and do it up. That thing is going to be so bad ass. Might make us famous!

Bill,

What backspacing are you running both front and rear?

Bill,

5 on the rear, not sure on the front. This car has the Stage II XV Motorsports front and rear suspension going under it, so the offset had to be a bit different from the standard Mopar frontend. I will set tommorrow what it is.

I am running a 9.5" rear wheel with 4.5" backspace....So my wheel lip should be close to yours. How much lip do you have on the rear wheel?

very nice cool car and cool render!
Big Bill what tyres did you choose?

Bill Howell
07-26-2007, 10:22 PM
I am ordering TOYO in the morning.
275-35-19 up front and 295-40-20 out back. This is a budget build, so no mini tubs and I wanted something with some sidewalls so that was the choices.

The sidewalls on those 275/35/19's is really really low. I thought about using that size but they are just too low profile for me. Also 275 uses a minimum of a 9.5" wheel. You are just going to sneak by usint a 9" wheel. I have a 8.5" and wanted to use the 275 but it didn't seem like it would work. I'm sure you will be fine but you might get a little bit of sidewall hanging over the rim. I went with a 255/35/19 and it fits my 8.5" wheel perfect. I was a little disappointed that the 255's were kinda "skinny" but they fit the wheel perfectly, have a decent sidewall, and I'm gonna run a totally different set of tires/wheels at the track anywayz :)

I hear ya, there are just not a lot of choices for 19, however, these will work.
I did misprint the width, it is really 9.5 so I should be fine with the 275.
I will also have a set of 18s for real road racing, so I should be fine.
Thanks.
