If you recall when DSE first showed their prototype subframe at the GoodGuys's show in Columbus in 2006. Well, that subframe was smoothed in bondo. I was showing the photos to my bodyman (Jack), and he said that he rather do it in lead. Here is some photos of my DSE subframe that was smoothed with lead. Also, there is more photos of the subframe smoothed in lead on my site.

Looks great! I would be interested to see how much weight you added. It might be insignificant, but interesting.

How much weight did that add? Some killer prep needed with all that lead.

Jeff that looks just awsome! Wery nice work. Are the silver parts painted or powdercoated ?
