Any Mopar Fans?

My winter project was my '68 Dart Vert.

It has a low compression, Indy aluminum headed 440. It's mini-tubed and has 245/35-18 fronts and 305/25-20 rears. It has a SVT big brake kit with vented and drilled 13" and 11" rotors front and rear.

If there any Mopar suspension nuts out there I could use some advice on lowering the car further...

I've only had the car on the road a few weeks, so I'm still working out some kinks. The car sure goes, turns and stops better than it used to.

I'm just a guy that likes to tinker and learn, but I'm going with some .96 torsion bars up front cranked down to get the front end down. In the back, I have re-arced leafs and flipped the front shackles plus I'll be putting in 1" lowering blocks for a total of about 2". By the way, It's on a 69 Charger with a 440. I really like the setup that Mr. Angry and the Autodynamics Charger have.

Depends on where you are driving it at.If you are stuck at a low ride height it will not be fun to drive having to slow down or dodge every bump.I would use an air ride setup...this site has a sponsor that can work with you:D

I think I have the front worked out. I have some big 1.12" torsion bars on the way, and I will remove the bump stops and lower it down.

The rear is an issue. I have the ride height about where I want it, but I'm basically sitting on the pinion snubber. I need to know how to creat more upward travel for the rear suspension.

The mini-tub gives me room for the 305's travel upward under compression, but the snubber is preventing any upward travel. I'm willing to cut and reposition the snubber stop if that is the right course to take... need advice...

For the rear...Maybe some Cal-Tracs will work if the snubber is gone.

On the front..."Just put on Moog 7103 offset upper bushings in the stock upper arms. Should be able to
get 3 degrees positive castor with those",the mods are in the page above.Or,adjustable tubular uppers would have all the adjustment you need.:thumbsup:

For the front, I already have the MagnumForce tubular upper control arms. It's now an issue with lower ride height, avoiding the bump stops on the lower control arms. Word is that a stiffer torsion bar will allow me the remove (or cut down) the bump stops, acheive the lower ride height, and still not bottom the suspension.

I the rear, yeah I've been looking at the Cal Tracs. I'm sure they would help me hook the car out of the hole (and it needs some help). Do you (or anyone) know if they will hurt cornering or overall handling?
