The 340ci, 455hp powerplant.

Recently dropped in, no tranny yet
http://www.gtcars.ca/gallery/files/6/8/4/3/EngineIn2.JPG
The 904 tranny is half built, waiting for thrust washers. The 8 3/4 rear end is partially built, just have to set backlash and paint a pattern. Have to get the front disc brakes on, getting a sump welded in the tank. Still have lots of small and big things to go.

Just a reminder this is a budget build that an average guy would do, no crazy custom fabrication, just make it look
nice and go as fast as I can afford.
Looks great! Almost there!

Are you using 5 to 6 lug adapters there? (Meaning those are 6 lug truck wheels?)
The car turned out great, I bet it's an absolute blast to drive!
I have to say, I'd have definately chosen some wheels with much less positive offset, but that's always easy to change, and it's your taste that is important for your car
My dad used to have a '70 duster with a 340, and I have heard plenty of stories about that car. Great work! How's that 550 hp feel?

I got some more work to do to make it handle good, thats another winter project though I just wanna drive it. No adapters those are 5 lug wheels. I know the wheels arent the greatest, I just needed something to clear the rear calipers and something quick, my boss was getting rid of these wheels from his car so I said see if they fit my car, they clear the back with some slight rubbing on the frame on hard turns in the front. They were cheap and fit so I couldnt be choosey on the offset and stuff cause buying wheels that fit properly would of cost me way too much. Its not 550hp but the 455hp feels and sounds unreal, still need to tune it on a dyno to get every hp out of it.

Glad to see that another nice mopar has hit the streets. I saw the pics of the car when you first got it, really good starting point. You took what you had, and made it better without the high cost.
