well im not sure if im the youngest kid on the site but im 14 and have always been a car freak. when i was born my grandpa gave me a 55 chevy he restored though now its time for my dad and me to do it my way.
My plans for the car are a 355, 5 or 6 speed, all new poly front bushing, coilovers, 2 inch dropped spindals, disc brakes, change the back suspension (not sure what yet) 17x8 in front and 17x8, 17x9 1/2 or 17x10 in the rear.

Cool project. I love those cars. We just today installed one of those PRC core supports in a 57 Chevy Project we are finishing, it was a awesome piece. We have done a few of these in the last couple years, so if you need any help, feel free to look me up.

Your car looks so darn good as it sits, I'd be real tempted to drive it for a while before doing anything to it.
Neat car.

We moved the spring pockets in on the 57 were doing so it can run a 315 tire. Put the pockets right in the frame, worked slick, It was a easy job.

to fit a 315 you have to mini tub it right?
i was thinking about doing a leaf spring relocation kit but im not sure if i really want to cut my frame to do it. plus we dont own a welder and i took a welding class this summer with the 4-h and i did ok for my first time. my dad is a diesel mechanic and can weld though he hasnt done it in a few years, so i havent decided yet. though last nite i was thinking about maybe just going with some 16x8 on 235/50 front and 255/50 in the back. so i need to decide
