We went to the Northwest Historics road race yesterday, and this year was the celebration of the trans-am series. Close to 30 trans-am cars were racing! To watch the pack racing down the straight was an amazing ear-splitting cargasm! Vic Edelbrock and family were out there as well as one of the two surviving Penske 69 Camaro's. In addition to the trans-am cars, there were a few F2 cars, a Ferrari LeMans car, F40, GT40, about 8 new Ford GT's, GT3 Porsche, 250 GTO Ferrari. Awesome, absolutely awesome car day. Anyway, have a look at the pics, I think the trans-am cars can/will provide some great inspiration for builds. Enjoy!

Craig, thanks for posting. I'm heading the the Kohler Invitational at Elkhart Lake for the first time this year.

I'm seriously considering building an '69 Camaro AS vintage racer if I can get over the cost of buying a usable shell.

DAMN i was there too.......... it was wicked. to bad i didn't run into you Craig.
that is some seriously cool stuff. watching 30 or so bas ass muscle cars flying down the 3/4 mile straight. some of the old Can Am cars were fast, injected sbc with huge rear tires !!! all cool good to see
