Motor pictures
The
motor is completely finished and ready to
fire. Just need to finish up the power
steering and Hydroboost plumbing as well as
the fuel line.
I drilled and tapped the water pump to
1/2" NPT and ran -12 lines through the
firewall.
I used a Mike Norris Motorsports catch can
as a coolant recover tank.
Latest eye candy, Carbon Fiber Valve
Covers and a front accessory drive system

The parts are nothing short of amazing.

include a cam from Katech which will put it
at 600hp and 575 ft/lbs tq.
More details and information about the
install, including header fitment, oil pan
clearance, dry
sump plumbing, etc, coming soon.
Headers from Kook's Custom Headers.
They are 304 stainless steel, 1 7/8" primaries
with 3" venturi collectors. They have
the LS7 flange and are made specifically to
work with the unique exhaust port shape of
the LS7.
There was an issue with the steering shaft and the number one primary, so I sent
the Kooks Headers to Stenod Performance to have it moved. As long as they
were there, I had them install a set of V-band collector flanges. They did
a fantastic job!
Motor in with the Rockland Standard T56, Ron Davis Radiator, AutoKraft Race Cars
and Restorations adapter mounts, etc. Starting to feel like a car again.
Custom stainless steel EFI fuel tank from Rick's Hot Rod Shop. It has a
Walbro 255 in tank pump, a GM 0-90 ohm sending unit, and has the corners beveled
for extra clearance for getting the 3" tailpipes over the DSE Quadra-Link.
Front accessory drive from Synister Products. All brackets and pulleys
were anodized black, as well as the billet thermostat housing. No A/C.
Katech cam, springs and titanium retainers, they claim it makes 600hp and 575
ft-lbs of torque. We will be finding out when we see what kind of mph it
runs in the quarter.
Dry sump tank and breather
LS7 Dry Sump pan adapters
LSx motor mount adapter plates from Autokraft Race Cars and Restorations.
I'm installing a compete
Nitrous Express system for the throttle by wire. Here's a picture of the
trick MAF housing with integrated solenoids as well as the bottle painted body
color and billet bottle bracket.
Here are a few pictures of my new set of valve covers and stainless steel coil
racks from CarbonFiberValveCovers.com They are simply amazing.
