Default 69 C10 Pickup

I haven't posted on here in long while, but I have done a couple more cars so I figured I would share. I picked up this short box in Wyoming from a geologist I was working with. Truck was a one owner special order. It lived its whole life in Anaconda Mt until the son in law got it. He's a square body guy so he sold it to me. I bought the trailer too seeing as it was loaded on there so nice and pulled it home to MN. The pictures are huge, Ill update when I figure that out.

Body was OK, not really rusty at all. Bed floor and tailgate were hammered. I was really hoping to be able to remove the bad repaint and be left with decent orig color but no luck. Spent a lot of time with plastic razor blades and graffiti remover. There just wasn't enough left.

I did a new full floor, cab corners, rockers, and a new box. Plus a couple small patches. The new floors are so nice I had to do it.

I did a c-knotch and exhaust pass through on the frame before blasting and painting it. The frame is super clean, no pitting. The fuel tank is from Boyds Welding and uses a ZL1 fuel pump. I'm just about to the more fun parts. So far it's been all cutting, fitting, welding, blasting, and painting. Just making messes.

I rebuilt all the factory suspension and coated it with Steel-It paint (really good stuff). I converted the truck to 5 lug and used square body spindles and disc brakes up front. The rotors were branded Brembo and were 30 bucks at Rockauto. A set of decent KYB shocks, a rebuilt steering box from Blue Top and some 19/20 Halibrands round out the chassis.

The motor is a 5.3 with gen 4 rods and forged pistons. I'm using the Summit Ghost cam, stainless LSA manifolds, Sts-v blower and a 150 shot of nitrous. A Holley Terminator runs it. Trans is a built 4l80e.

I'm using an electric booster from a Chevy Bolt. The ac hardline patterns were sent to VA and came back perfect.
