Default Magnum t56 what shifter to use

I have read myself dizzy on the problems with leaks on the white lightening and black jack shifter.

69 with big block, t56 magnum, Quicktime bell, mechanical clutch, most importantly it is a CONSOLE car.

So which shifter is best and do I use the forward or rear mount?
Thanks in advance!

I have never experienced a leak of any kind with my "Blackjack" shifter. Been very pleased with it. Tim john---

We did have a slight issue with leakage on the first generation models of our Blackjack shifter, but this problem was addressed several years back and is no longer a problem. If you have any additional questions, give us a call at 707-535-3030.

Is there a noticeable difference between the t56 mag stock shifter and the blackjack one? I'm thinking about buying one

I have a Hurst Black Jack on my T56 Mag in my 69 Camaro with a stock console. It has been just fine and doesn't leak at all. Fit is perfect and the shift is short and firm. Can't think of anything else I would want. Therefore I recommend it.
Cheers, Brew

I went with the white lightning with my t56 magnum...I liked the ability to adjust the spring detent on that one so you can make it tighter or looser to shift. Very well built. I'm installing it now so i don't have any road time yet. I will come April though....

The difference between the standard T56 Magnum shifter and the Hurst Blackjack is the build quality and positioning. The Hurst Blackjack shifter is going to be stronger, tighter and more precise when compared to the standard Tremec T56 Magnum shifter. In addition to that, the Blackjack positions the shifter in the factory location for use with a console.

If you have any other questions or would like to order a Hurst Blackjack shifter, give us a call at 707-535-3030.
