Default 66 Twin Turbo Chevelle "Green Hornet"

This a project that I bought off this site about a year ago. Since then a few things have been done like new turbos, Rick's gas tank with Weldon fuel pump and filter, and turbo piping (not installed as of yet). Been trying to get my local turbo fabricator guy to fit and weld all turbo piping. Looks like I may have to take it out of town to get it done. It also needs custom headers made to accomodate the larger turbos. It has Gale Banks exhaust manifolds. Can't wait to someday drive this thing!

Thanks for posting Rick, I've wanted to know what happened of this car. You picked it up for a great deal from what I remember.

Rick

Great to finally see some recent pictures. You just beat me to this one. When I called to buy the car you had just closed the deal earlier that day. Can't wait to see it done. Hopefully you can get it out to some of the events.

Looking good Rick! What's your timeline to get it running? I can't wait to hear the sound of that motor running!

Thanks for the input and compliments guys.

66SuperSport, I'm sorry I beat you to it. Were you building your 66 then?

When I bought the car my goal was to have it done by Oct. Goodguys event in Charlotte. Started a new business the middle of last year and any extra money went to the business so she has been on hold. Hoping to get it going by Oct this year. Once all the piping is done and everything is ready I would like to take it off the frame and do a full detail. This really is a very nice car in so many ways like NO RUST! I take that back, there is a little bit around the bottom of the rear window but you have to look real close in between the window moulding and the sheetmetal. I've only seen a few cars in my life that are in this condition. Still has the original paint in the trunk with the original jack sticker under the trunk lid.
She should make about 1200hp on pump gas with the 67mm turbos and intercoolers.
Hopefully next month 1 out of 2 possible shops will fabricate the piping and headers.
