Default Paint update

Paul and Joe have been working away on my car. I think this will be the best paint job I have every had. They have been a blast to work with and have a great attention to detail. They just rented a building and should have their shop set up in Feb. If you want a top notch paint job get in touch with them to get on their waiting list.

This is all Charley's fault.....

When I was at SEMA I started to think I wanted MORE power in my new project.

Then I drove Jack Ass in the Optima Shoot Out and I knew I needed more power.

I really dJA and the way the LS9 works in that car. So I'm doing a bigger displacement LS9 a LS9.2. Brian Thomson is building me a 427 CID LS9 http://thomsonautomotive.com/home

Thomson Automotive is a great source for LSx engines. My short block should be together in a few weeks.

All I have to change on my car to go from the LS7 to the LS9.2 is:

Radiator
Fans
Front end accy drive
Engine
Clutch
Transmission
Drive shaft
Rear axle ratio
Fuel Pump(s)
Engine mounts
Notch DSE sub frame

And add:

Intercooler
Intercooler pump

I got the LS9 accy drive to fit the DSE front clip.

I'm cutting off the stock throttle body and angling it toward the driverside fender. The stock LS9 TB angles up and toward the center of the car. Cutting it off and aiming it toward the fender will make it flow better and make the inlet tube a better package.

Our goal is 800 HP and 800 ft*lb of torque

Mark

I got some better shots and tech for some stories for Camaro Performers.

I learned a lot from Jack Ass and learning more about LS9's on this project.

This thing should tear up the Auto-Xs. lol

OK - Rupp on the Auto-X deal I have 2 national champs at work that I have worked with helping them get up to speed on road course stuff. They have agreed to get me tuned up for Auto-Xs this spring.

Should be fun.

I've heard Charley is enrolled in a top secret Auto X school -- and he plans to wipe the track with all of you....

Steve -- Sounds like you better be planning on "mo bigga" for motorvation...

Optima 2010 should be better than ever! I personally can't wait.

Bomber looks great Mark!
