Always lots of good stuff on Lateral-G! Thanks to everyone for posting your projects.
I'll call the project "On Target". Attempting to stay on target with level of build, ability, time in the shop, with family, and $ input. It can be a challenge to balance what we want and not getting out of control in other areas. All of us have a different mix and level in all these areas. That is what makes everyones car unique.
Started with a 49,000 mile '62 Chevy II. Have been modifying something for the last 15 years and keeping driveable most summers. Kind of a test mule. Changing is part of the process and interest. Swapped in an LT1 - 4L60E back in 2001. Went with automatic to make it easier for our boys to make a few drag strip passes. Has run a 12.88 e.t. in 1/4 mile. Mini tubbed a few years later, A/C another year, etc, etc.. The last year and a half have totally stripped it apart and refreshing everything along with some modifications.
Will post a few early pics and current status. Later will start listing some steps getting here and current updates.
Have wanted to post it on here for a long time, but was out in the shop trying to keep the project moving forward or watching other super projects on Lateral-G. Better get in on here before the car is done.
Thanks again for putting your neat stuff on here. Jim
Here's after original engine swap, mini tub and before blowing apart for redo.
