Was really disappointed to see the damage done to the LS7. We had a lot of confidence because we bought it from a board member of the Corvette association. Thankfully the seller agreed to return the engine and a full refund.
On a better note, it feels like Christmas around here. Lots of new parts showing up at the shop.
Eugene, beautiful car and project, looking forward to see the build coming together. Are you guys going to use the Dynacorn 69 TA hood? I saw a few in person and the fitment was great, the only issues were the plastic scoop inserts.
Good luck on the build and subscribed.
We got a goodmark hood, I've had good luck with their stuff so far, we will see on this one. I plan on making custom inserts but molding them to the hood for a seamless look per the rendering
Hey all. I got some more updates today. The blasting went very well. However after talking to the customer we're going to end up putting new steel on the fenders, quarters, and roof.
Funny story is that I found a brand new fuel door that was stuck behind the quarter panel, right behind the B pillar. Must have been dropped in there when being assembled in the GM factory back in 1967. Poor owners probably had a rattle they could never locate, and the loose fuel door behind the quarter was the culprit.
Too bad about the LS7. I had actually already done a lot of work to place the dry sump tank behind the fender. On a good note, I had some fun playing with my roller.
