And I started on the hood mods, found out I needed flexible urethane foam between the skin and the supports to replicate AMD's work so I got that today and then my 3M Accuspray gun came in and I just had to spray ... what I time saver in cleanup and the pps cups are just cool.

Thanks for looking ...
I'm curious what the mods to the hood will be? Did I miss elsewhere in the thread?

Well I thought I would be further along with the hood by now but after you spray a black epoxy the poor body work comes out in the shine and you have to keep going to get a flat reflection ....

OCD kicking in ... the black epoxy doesn't lie when it comes to a reflection, so more sanding and epoxy!

I think I got it this time!

The firewall is APITA to get straight ... mulligan!

Got some bling in too!

Hopefully this is the last time ... paint tomorrow?

Thanks for looking ...

Default Done!

Early morning paint, check that off the list ... now it's time to cure before I can start making another mess, lol!

Man, I can appreciate those REAL body guys and gals that can get a black car straight ... I think this will do for me!

Thanks for looking ...

I have learned a great deal watching Jim do the work on my car. Seeing it in person really helped me appreciate the talent in all those hours of work.

Car is looking great. Always enjoy your thread!

Hey thanks, this bodywork is difficult, I redid the trunk 3 times and now the hood 3 times because in black epoxy it shows all the defects of my attempted body work, hopefully, it'll be the last go round!

Not much happened today, I got brushable seam sealer on the cowl and the side tulip panels ... waiting for it to cure and should spray color tomorrow. While that was drying I worked on my hood vent locations before I cut the hood.

And I used a clay bar on the truck cuz all this crap in the air, it's gonna be 67 here tomorrow, nice!

Thanks for looking ...

Thanks Mikael, it's been apita but rewarding knowing it's done correctly!!

Well they say it's all in the details ... considered this detailed!

Side cowl panels are ready for bonding!

This area will NEVER rust again!

And yes I had a run on the inside ... just like the factory, lol!

Now to let this cure and then bond the side cowl panels and then finish up the body and spray some black, that should be all the gray!

Thanks for looking ...
