I ran into that same issue with a set of SW headers on a 2006 GTO. The MSD wires will fix your problem since the boots are bendable so you can make them fit how you want. should fix your issue

Had exactly the same problem. I ended up using the stock wire but used these http://www.kingsbornewires.com/produ...&categoryId=98

They fit perfectly and for $3.50 each it's a deal if you already have a set of wires.

Good luck with the MSD. The boots are cheap. They don't snap on the plug after removing them a couple times.

If you take the heat shield off the stock wires you can bend them just a little to clear the header.

If you are buying new wires get a custom set from FIRECORE50. They are the best wires I have ever had on my car.
