Default LT!/T56 Speedometer Question

My question is can a manual speedo vs a electric be connected to this style trans ? If so how ?

It can, it just takes a adapter that converts the pulses of the vss to a manual gear driven cable operated one. I had the same dilemma, but opted for the electric version of the speedo. The adapter is a little pricey.

This is one method:

When I did this swap in an 86 Monte SS, I found an OEM electronic speed that was similar in sweep to the Monte & grafted it together.

Jags That Run used to make a T56 tail housing that had a mechanical drive.

Or get an aftermarket electronic speedometer.
