There probably won't be anything more significant to share after this until it goes to upholstery. So for now, I hope you enjoy this.
I had the anodizing stripped off the hood lip molding and had it show polished, same with the headlight bezels. I then painted the underside of the hood lip molding body color and matte clear. This is unlike all other Mavericks, but I liked how it makes the molding appear thinner, and seems to disappear on the underside of the hood.
Normally on Maverick headlight bezels the painted area is either black or silver. For me I wanted a little more of a unique look and painted them body color. I am in love with the look!
I installed the gauge panel for what I hope is the last time, everything lights up and works as it should......
Gotta love this pair, at least I know I do!!!
So the exhaust is now done and the car runs. I have installed the carpet and a seat, so the next step was to venture out of the driveway and go for a cruise. A short one though. Just across the street from me is a horse shoe shaped street, so I pulled out of my driveway and just down the road, then around the loop. Senses were running very high, but she ran well, shifted through the gears and everything worked as it should. I took a video, but with Photobucket being what it is I can't seem to share it, so you will have to settle for a few pictures.
The first picture of it outside and not in my driveway!!!
